  • LEAD PASTOR

    DOUG SAMPLEY

    Pastor Doug Sampley was raised in a Christian home and was led to Christ at the age of 16. Soon after, he sensed God's call to full-time ministry and attended Central Bible College where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology in 1987. Pastor Sampley then went on to earn his Master of Arts in Biblical Literature in 1991 and has been ordained with the Assemblies of God since 1993. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Biblical Exposition..Before coming to Marshfield Assembly of God in December of 2007, Pastor Sampley served in three other churches. From 1987 to 1990 he was youth pastor at First Assembly of God in Winfield, KS. Then he spent 4 years as the associate pastor at First Assembly of God in Topeka, KS. In 1995, Pastor Sampley became senior pastor at First Assembly of God in Bristow, OK, where he served for nearly 13 years. He and his wife, Cheri, have been married since 1986. They have three children: Leslie (James), John (Kylee), and Joshua, along with 6 grandchildren: Jerra, Isaac, Elaina, Levi, Jace and Kade. Pastor Sampley enjoys reading, fishing, and watching his beloved Oklahoma Sooners. His passion is to see people live out what they claim to believe. He always has a friendly smile and a warm handshake for anyone who walks into MAG!

  • Pastor Emeritus

    Fred Lawley

    Pastor Fred Lawley is Pastor Emeritus of Marshfield Assembly of God. He was born and raised in LA (lower Alabama) in a God-fearing home. He served twenty years in the military where he rededicated his life to the Lord. After retiring from the Army, Pastor Lawley attended Central Bible College and became a minister with the Assemblies of God. He and his wife, Bonnie, soon pioneered a church in Phillipsburg, Missouri, which is still a growing and active church today. In May of 1977, Pastor Lawley was elected as senior pastor of Marshfield Assembly of God and served in that capacity until November of 1991. When they came to Marshfield, the church was located on East Washington and moved to Commercial Street in the building that is now the puppet theater. He returned to our church as assistant pastor in 2002 and is a vital part of our ministry and retired in 2012. The Lawleys have five children, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. With a self-confessed soft spot for kids, Pastor Lawley could often be seen sneaking rolls of Smarties candies into the hands of lucky little ones on Sunday mornings.

  • CHILDREN'S PASTOR

    ANGIE REID

    Kids are important to God, and Pastor Angie Reid knows first-hand the significance of introducing children to Jesus at an early age. Growing up, she eagerly awaited the arrival of VBS during the exciting summer months and the opportunity to grow closer to God in a warm, kid-friendly environment. At MAG, she aims to create a nurturing atmosphere helping kids flourish in their faith while growing stronger in Christian disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, discipleship, and service, focusing intentionally on God’s love for each person. With a heart for extending lasting hope and healing, Pastor Angie also trains next-generation ministry leaders as a university professor. She celebrates over 20 years of marriage to her ever-patient husband, is mom to three amazing kiddos, and enjoys publishing for faith enrichment. She earned a BA in Missions and Intercultural Studies from Messenger College, an MA in Counseling from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute. She has a ready supply of balloons, A&W Root Beer, and Cheetos on hand, and she is enthusiastically anticipating the next stellar shindig with our awesome group of MAG Kids!

    sandy weber

    Pastor Sandra Weber grew up in the Plato Baptist Church, leaving in 1979 to attend the College of the Ozarks where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Art Education in 1984. She then moved to Columbia, Missouri and received a Masters in English/Linguistics from the University of Missouri in 1986. She spent the next two years working as a Peace Corps teacher in Kenya, East Africa. After returning from the Peace Corps Pastor Sandra Weber spent the next 20 years in public education. It was while teaching in Wichita, Kansas that she became a born again Christian on July 17, 1995. She experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit a couple months later and felt God’s call to full-time ministry. Several years later she returned to Missouri to attend Central Bible College. In April 2006 she graduated from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with a Masters in Theology. She obtained a ministerial license in June, 2013, and began working as a pastoral care pastor for Marshfield Assembly of God in July, 2013. She enjoys green gardening, classical music and studying theology. Her primary goal as a Christian and as a pastor is to nurture and strengthen Christian communities according to the mandate set forth in Romans 12:9-10: “Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”
