    Fred Lawley

Pastor Fred Lawley is Pastor Emeritus of Marshfield Assembly of God. He was born and raised in LA (lower Alabama) in a God-fearing home. He served twenty years in the military where he rededicated his life to the Lord. After retiring from the Army, Pastor Lawley attended Central Bible College and became a minister with the Assemblies of God. He and his wife, Bonnie, soon pioneered a church in Phillipsburg, Missouri, which is still a growing and active church today. In May of 1977, Pastor Lawley was elected as senior pastor of Marshfield Assembly of God and served in that capacity until November of 1991. When they came to Marshfield, the church was located on East Washington and moved to Commercial Street in the building that is now the puppet theater. He returned to our church as assistant pastor in 2002 and is a vital part of our ministry and retired in 2012. The Lawleys have five children, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. With a self-confessed soft spot for kids, Pastor Lawley could often be seen sneaking rolls of Smarties candies into the hands of lucky little ones on Sunday mornings.

Kids are important to God, and Pastor Angie Reid knows first-hand the significance of introducing children to Jesus at an early age. Growing up, she eagerly awaited the arrival of VBS during the exciting summer months and the opportunity to grow closer to God in a warm, kid-friendly environment. At MAG, she aims to create a nurturing atmosphere helping kids flourish in their faith while growing stronger in Christian disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, discipleship, and service, focusing intentionally on God’s love for each person. With a heart for extending lasting hope and healing, Pastor Angie also trains next-generation ministry leaders as a university professor. She celebrates over 20 years of marriage to her ever-patient husband, is mom to three amazing kiddos, and enjoys publishing for faith enrichment. She earned a BA in Missions and Intercultural Studies from Messenger College, an MA in Counseling from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute. She has a ready supply of balloons, A&W Root Beer, and Cheetos on hand, and she is enthusiastically anticipating the next stellar shindig with our awesome group of MAG Kids!
